WHAT'S NEW?

Senate Bill 78 (Revises provisions relating to boards and commissions)

SB78 expands upon previous legislation that created the Office of Boards, Commissions and Council Standards in the Nevada Department of Business and Industry. The bill would substantially change how Nevada's regulatory boards operate, including the NSBAIDRD. SB78 would consolidate all boards under a centralized administration in the Dept. of Business and Industry. It would also eliminate the NSBAIDRD and combine the regulation of architecture, interior design and residential design with other professions.

The Dept. of Business and Industry released a policy paper with its recommendations, which can be found on its website. Nevada Office of Boards and Commissions

The NSBAIDRD issued a response to the Dept. of Business and Industry's policy paper. Board Response
